Christmas Gifts for THAT Girl

Even though I wouldn’t consider gift-giving my main love language, it definitely comes out during holidays and birthdays. It is probably more fun for me to pick out what I believe my friends or family would like more than they enjoy receiving it. I spend hours thinking about what they have subtly mentioned throughout the year, or something that I feel would genuinely compliment them. 

With Christmas being less than two weeks away, I can imagine how stressful it is for some to find the perfect gift or even what to ask for. Here are some items that I have gifted myself that I would personally buy for my best friends or family members, making sure that they are THAT girl this holiday season: 

1.Alo or Aritzia Matching Set 

Alo and Artizia will forever be my holy grail, regardless of what item I buy from either store. However, if I had to recommend one specific item from each of them, it would most definitely be a matching set. I wear these everywhere, whether it be to class, the grocery store, or even just lounging around the house. I always get them oversized, making them even more comfortable than they already are. Both stores also have matching sets in different colors and different styles. My personal favorites are the Aritzia TNA Cozy Fleece Mega Cargo™ Sweatpant with the matching TNA Cozy Fleece Mega Raglan™ Hoodie (I never take this off). With Alo, I always choose the Accolade Hoodie with the matching Accolade Sweatpants. I guarantee that whoever receives this gift will be living in it until 2024. 

2. Aritzia Super Puff 

Aritzia never misses when it comes to comfortable and chic clothing, and this is especially seen in their winter gear. I was grateful to finally live in a place cold enough for puffer jackets as I adore how the Aritzia Super Puff Shorty looks. While there is a variety of jackets and vests to choose from, the Super Puff™ brand also has hats, mittens, tote bags, and phone cases. The Super Puff™ is an iconic staple for the winter that I would recommend to everyone.

3. Sephora Gift Sets

I would say that Sephora popped off with their holiday gift sets this year, as I find myself wanting to purchase all of them. There are so many to choose from, each being full of the perfect mix of skincare, makeup, or fragrances. My personal favorites are the Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor™ Jet Set and the Laneige Divine Lip Duo Set. These are also perfect as you’re saving money when buying these items in a set, and they are already put together in a cute holiday box. 

4. Weighted or Heated Blanket

I recommend this for the college student in your life, as there are often some cold, lonely nights in the dorm (speaking from experience). I will forever be grateful for the heated blanket I was given in college as it keeps me warm during gloomy and brisk days. I also enjoy a weighted blanket, as I have found this to help with those sleepless nights. Weighted blankets have been found to calm down one’s heart rate and breathing as there is pressure applied to the body. They essentially give your body the same effect as a sleep mask does on your eyes. On top of this, they are also usually super soft and winsome for your room, and I believe that everyone deserves a blanket like this in their life. 

5. Uggs 

I have had a pair of Uggs throughout every phase of my life, whether that be an insane toddler or an awkward middle schooler. Uggs are the perfect gift as they are a shoe that can be worn almost anywhere, especially given how many options there are. I have three favorites that I wear all the time, and I would give these to everyone if I could. The Ugg Tasman Slipper, Ultra Mini Platform Uggs, and Scuffita Crisscross Shearling Slippers are seen on my feet almost every day, and I’m sure it will be the same with whoever you give these to. 

6. Rhode 

I will admit that Mrs. Bieber has some controversial moments, but her skincare brand is not one of them. I finally caved in a few months ago in an attempt to see what the hype was about, and my skin and lips have never been better. For the skin, there are three products to choose from, including the Glazing Milk, Peptide Glazing Fluid, and Barrier Restore Cream. I use the Glazing Milk as a prep step before applying the rest of my skincare, giving my skin an extra layer of hydration. The Peptide Glazing Fluid is perfect as a serum, and I even use this to make my skin look more dewy after I apply my makeup, adding it to my cheekbones to act as a highlighter. The Barrier Restore Cream is super rich and hydrating, and I especially love this during winter as my skin tends to get dry and dull. On top of this, there are a variety of lip products to choose from, and I always find myself reaching for the Peptide Lip Treatment, which also includes a bunch of different flavors (the Vanilla Peptide Lip Treatment is scrumptious), or the Peptide Lip Tint. 7. Jellycat 

One is never too old for a stuffed animal, especially when they are as cute as Jellycats. These are the perfect addition to my bed, and looking at my Crowning Croaker Green Frog is a form of serotonin. There are so many animals that would make the perfect main gift or stocking stuffer, and there are even seasonal items available for the holidays. You can also get them personalized with a monogrammed name if you’re feeling extra. I always throw a Jellycat into every gift I give someone, and the reaction is always as wholesome as a Hallmark movie.
